Scale of measurement of a quantity, e.g. Celsius, Kelvin, Beaufort, Richter. A measurement scale is an ordered set of quantity values of quantities of a given kind of quantity used in ranking, according to magnitude, quantities of that kind. A scale may need a unit (e.g. degree for Celsius).
